Mamere is me whenever my dad or sibling, annoying relatives check my boys or girls with bigass anime eyes once in 5 years and ask why I don't design tattoo or logos and shit for money.

Mamere asking if a painting is enough for a thank you gift for saving her is everything for me. Omg I so avoided Fontaine world quests, but now I don't regret coming back to them.

But from what I understand Melusines cannot do anything with human money in the first place, they don't see its worth. And it is really interesting to think about because this was the reason we have this quest in the first place: The collector wanted her paintings and she would gave him the painting as a gift without hesitation, but as soon as he put a price on her picture, she refused to give it him.

But really, it's fascinating when you IRL tell people that you don't want a career. You just work so you can make money, so you can make life for yourself outside of work. And... their jaw is dropped, like you said their mom should die or something. Like it's a sin that your work is not your life or something.

Hahhh... It's so good to return to Genshin. Overall. I missed this of storytelling with the nuances.

When Serene offers you to give you to components to fix Seymour, the clockwork meka for Mamere, there is an option in the dialogues where you can offer your help in exchange of the compontents.

And Serene gets instantly defensive: I didn't give it to you so you can help me in something!!! I gave it to you, because Mamere needs it!

I so. so. so. love the Melusines. They are too pure for this world.

Now that's some cosmic horror/fairy tale/Philip K. Dick shit I witnessed here.

I am truly entertained. It turned out this quest was about the origin of the Melusines and the paint the Mamere was painted was the blood of the Father of all Melusines, and not just that! Mamere was able to hear "Father", Elynas all along while the others slowly forget about his voice.

Elynas died but from his blood, the Melusines born and his body is basically the whole island! The Melusines reside inside their creator's body!

But the same blood is poisonous to humans. The Art Collector was a megalomaniac fucker with Abyssal powers who wanted to resurrect Elynas, by starting the pumping his heart again and destroying the humanity with the blood getting into the All Waters, but becasue the Melusines lived inside his body, they would have been an additional collateral damage. All this for the name of Equality.

Elynas didn't want this so he is actually glad that we stopped the resurrection process.

Okay, so originally I didn't plan to spend time on Fontaine again, but I noticed that if you do certain quest then you can obtain Neuvilette's new skin, and given I'm a Neuvillette-main, it's a must for me, also, I just obtained Columbina from pulling and I'm broke as fuck (in game), so money is very much needed from adventuring. I would be nice to explore the current area of Nod-Krai with Columbina in my team. :<

But I didn't expect FEELZ. THIS MUCH FEELZ. I missed this game so much.

HOLY SHIT.

I think Elynas was a dragon. The Rhinedottir kind. And when he realized that his existence cause terror and suffering to humans and he can't just "be", he fell from the sky to die. Elynas mentioned a Mother, so I think he was the creation of Albedo's mother, Rhynedottir too, so he must be similar to Durin? Sadly I missed Durin/Fake-Albedo event back then, but I remember a heart was in the center of attention too.
