Targets: More than meets the eye

 Fine, thought Fi. His helmet was recording. I don’t need to see your faces. I know what you wear, how you move, how you sound, and that’s how I’ll know who you are when I blow your brains out. 


Have I mentioned that I love Fi's character in Targets? Because we see his POV, he doesn't always speak out loud. On the surface he is the jokester, but on the inside, he has this more professional darker edge. I loved Fi before, but I love him even more. It's so heartbreaking how we see him later succumb into depression, and he is unable to filter himself or joke anymore.

Fi is a baby! No wonder poor Dar feels so guilty for being happy and so self-conscious around him when they realize he is sinking into depression :(

I think this was in him all along but when Fi sunk into the depression he didn't have the strength to mask anymore. The jokes just became more hurtful and sarcastic. In his very first scene after Geonosis, he was dead serious.
