So I mentioned before when watching Trigun that I have a dvd collection that has titles I never watched before and just collected dust throughout the years, but now I feel motivated to go through them now.
For one reason I do this:
- I have hyperfixation, which is good because ultimately I'm never bored, but sometimes YEARS can pass before I switch to anything else. Trying out new things, new movies, new comics, new mangas has to be a conscious decision, otherwise I will just rewatch/reread the same thing over and over again without getting new inputs. Hyperfixation can be a crippling problem especially when you take the social aspects in consideration. I want to be conscious about reaching out for new things but maintaining balance betweent the new and something I like.
- I discovered second-hand cd/dvd shops and I want to exchange the dvd-s I have watched but probably never will watch it again. So I can buy new ones.
- This way I will have access wide variety of older movies, not just the ones streaming services find "safe" or "trendy" for me to watch. Not mention that localized versions of the international streaming services don't have the same selection of media. Also, I'm getting tired of this fucking trend of you have to register 6 different sites whenever I want to watch a specific show.
Not that I'm expecting that much interactions from strangers, but please refrain from any "how could you not seen these movies before, some of these are classics???" kind of comments or else I will not accept any recommendations from any of you in the future either.

(Saw Trigun 1997 last year and it holds up soooooo well. <3)

Sometimes when my brain goes brrrrr, I have this dystopic paranoia, that what if they suddenly cut off internet access, and no passive entertainment will be available, because everything is tied to internet connection lately? Movies and games too.
My playstation 2 and 3 still works and I'm so glad for them, that's where I watch dvds too.
