Niner had never known any blind people, but he had heard of a batch of clones whose eyesight wasn’t 20/20 disappearing after their first exercise. Kaminoans were obsessive about quality control.

He might have been bred for selfless obedience, but he wasn’t stupid. The Kaminoan technicians were the only things that truly terrified him, and what he felt when he obeyed their instructions was different than the feelings he had when a Jedi gave him orders. He wondered if Fi and Atin felt the same way.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT and I just talked about Kaminoan eugenics in the start of Triple Zero.
Niner is truly a great source of clone lore in Hard Contact. Also he is so terrified of the Kaminoans. ._.

BABUUUU!!!! I absolutely adore how this train of thought he has is written, making you feel EMOTIONALLY the difference of obeying by fear and obeying by discipline.
And that backhanded note about him being SO AWARE that he was "bred for selfless obedience"...

Also aucs, my disabled eyes :')
